ChromeCaster Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to ChromeCaster, published by Snoaper ("we", "us", or "our").
ChromeCaster is an Android screen-casting helper. It opens Android's built-in cast controls, remembers the daily rewarded-ad unlock locally on the device, and does not run a developer-owned backend for user profiles or cloud sync.
Data We Collect Or Process
1. Local app state stored on the device
ChromeCaster stores a small amount of local state on the device, including the date of the most recent daily unlock and app preferences needed to support the current cast flow. This data is stored locally so the app can keep access unlocked for the rest of the day after a rewarded ad is completed.
2. Local network and cast status used inside the app
ChromeCaster reads local device and network status that Android makes available to the app, such as Wi-Fi or network availability, cast route state exposed by Android or Google Play services, and presentation display state used to detect whether a cast is active. This information is used only to help users start, stop, and troubleshoot casting.
3. Ad-related data handled by Google
ChromeCaster uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to load and show one rewarded ad per day. According to Google's current Mobile Ads SDK documentation, the SDK automatically collects and shares IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device and account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.
4. Data handled by Android or Google casting services
When a user opens Android's cast flow, Android system services, Google Play services, or the selected receiver device may process the information needed to discover and manage compatible cast targets on the same network. ChromeCaster does not operate the cast receiver and does not run its own mirroring server.
How We Use Data
- Provide the one-ad-per-day unlock flow
- Remember whether the user has already unlocked the app for the current day
- Evaluate local network readiness before opening the cast flow
- Help detect whether a cast session is active
- Help users stop an active cast session
- Show troubleshooting guidance for common cast setup problems
- Diagnose app or SDK failures during local testing and support
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared with Google Mobile Ads SDK and related Google advertising services, Google Play services and Cast services, Android system services involved in casting, and the cast receiver device selected by the user where needed for casting to function.
Retention
ChromeCaster stores its daily unlock state locally on the device until the user clears app data or uninstalls the app. We do not operate a developer-owned user account system for ChromeCaster, so there is no server-side account record to delete. Ad-related data and cast-service data handled by Google are subject to Google's own retention and privacy terms.
Security
ChromeCaster relies on Android platform security and on the third-party Google services it uses. Google states that Google Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Children
ChromeCaster is not directed to children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that raises a privacy concern, contact us using the details below.
Your Choices
- Clear app data to remove local unlock state
- Uninstall the app to remove local ChromeCaster data stored on the device
- Use Android and Google ad privacy controls that apply to Google advertising services
